Co-op/Intern Program

Since the late 1960s, Baker has been recruiting high school seniors and college students to work part-time and through the summers, giving them a chance to gain varied construction experience. In 1979, we formally established our program for cooperative education. By sharing our knowledge and offering close mentoring, we educate students to become proficient, well-rounded construction professionals. And we put forth strong efforts to constantly develop and improve our policies to make this program the best in the country.

Reimbursement

We offer reimbursement of students’ university co-op fees during each co-op session.

Students are able to receive on-the-job training in their field of study in addition to expanding their classroom education beyond their area of focus. Baker is devoted to developing students with the type of responsibility it takes to succeed in the construction industry
