Caring about communities
Beyond our project work, we dig in and get involved with the people and issues within our communities.
Baker makes a positive contribution to the economic strength and the character of the cities we work in. Guided by the truly generous spirit of Baker’s leadership team, our coworkers get involved. Whether contributing our own resources and services, establishing educational programs that develop talent and further careers, or giving to children in need, Baker is proud to make a significant charitable impact and effect a positive change.

In-Kind Services

Baker donates our services for many work-in-kind projects. These types of projects include completing much-needed concrete work for high schools, churches, and orphanages and leading efforts with aid organizations like Habitat for Humanity.

Education and Career Outreach
 Concrete Canoe Competition
We have led and participated in programs that help to attract some of the brightest and promising young talent to concrete construction to ensure the industry continues to evolve and progress for future generations. Specific efforts include Incident and Injury Free Workshops, Construction Career Days, Future Fair, and partnerships with local schools.

Special Events and Programs

We host special events and contribute to programs benefiting charities from the United Way to the Boy Scouts of America. In fact, we are proud of coworkers’ initiative to build some of these programs from the ground up. As just an example of our efforts: The Baker Golf Classic has benefitted the Make-A-Wish organization for over 10 years running, and our annual Holiday Toy Drive has already contributed more than 7,100 toys and $100,000 to the Salvation Army Angel Tee Program.
